Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who was an athlete and captain of the 2012 Fierce Five as well as the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012 the team, she won gold at the team events and also the floor exercise. In the balance beam Raisman earned a bronze. She was the first Olympic gymnast who won the most medals. The 2016 Olympics saw her win a gold at the team competition, which earned both she as well as Gabby the honor of being the first Americans to ever win consecutive team golds. She also won two silver medals in the floor exercise as well as the individual all-around. Between the two Olympics she took an absence from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. Additionally, she was one of the gold medal winning American teams in two World Championships. Her favourite event is floor exercise. Gymnastics was her first sport she began to learn when she was two years old. Aly has joined the Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in memory of her grandmother. She plans to pursue a career in fashion and would like to expand her line of signature leotards as well as socks in the future. The book she is working on is called Fierce that will be released at the end of this year.
